Tried to download this but its asking for a password to open it. Any idea what it is?

I would recommend downloading the service manual in my signature. It is more updated than the one you have downloaded from carpdf as it also includes the TL/KL in addition to the TH-TJ/KH-KJ.

However, if you wish to persist with the one you have downloaded, I believe the password is "carpdf.net"

I downloaded your 3rd gen manual, after mounting and installing it, all I get when I open it is a one page pdf and nothing else, any clues?

That 3rd gen PDF would most likely be close enough for the TF yes? Just don't see the model listed but from memory the TF and TH where more or less the same.
